Enabling Novel MS-Based Methods for Characterization of Biopharmaceuticals
This case study focuses on the work of the Merck Serono structural characterization laboratory in Guidonia, Italy, and describes how they developed novel and efficient MS-based methods for the analysis of charge-variants, glycoforms, and released glycans in biopharmaceuticals. Optimizing sample prep and separation procedures and streamlining MS data processing, analysis, and management enabled in-depth characterization with time-savings of up to 80% compared to conventional methods.
