About the Role

We are looking for a talented Java Software Developer who helps us to enhance and customize our successful enterprise platforms Genedata Biologics® and Genedata Bioprocess®. Scientists across the globe work with our highly innovative platforms in order to develop new, groundbreaking treatments for the most severe diseases. As part of a professional and dedicated development team, you will enable these scientists to fulfill their mission.

Genedata Biologics® and Genedata Bioprocess® represent the backbone of the data capturing and analysis workflows of the most important Biopharma and Biotech companies. It is installed either on-premises or hosted in the cloud and constantly interoperates with numerous instruments and customer IT systems. As Java Software Developer, you design and implement new workflows or adapt existing workflows to customer specific needs.

This full-time position is based at our headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. A part time employment (80-100%) is also an option.

Your Responsibilities

As a member of an agile development team, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of innovative solutions written in Java and SQL. The developments happen in close collaboration with the other team members as well as our scientific application experts. This interaction is essential for your work and gives you the unique opportunity to gain insights into the processes and workflows of a large number of different Biopharma companies.

Skills & Experience

• Degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or engineering
• Development experiences in Java or a similar language like C++ or C#
• Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the motivation to learn continuously
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
