Accelerating QC Release Method Development with MS-Assisted Peptide Mapping

September 7, 2026

HPLC-UV peptide mapping is routinely used in QC release testing of protein therapeutics to confirm product identity and quantify product-related impurities. Developing robust methods requires reliable separation of molecule-specific peptides, degradation products, and co-eluting species. High-resolution mass spectrometry provides the specificity needed during development, but processing the resulting complex datasets can slow method optimization.

This poster presents work from Gedeon Richter, showing how Genedata Expressionist® enables QC release method development from peptide selection to final method verification. You will learn how MS-based analysis of digestion and degradation kinetics supports the selection of peptides for identity and purity testing, how extracted-ion chromatograms provide input for DryLab® modeling and in-silico gradient optimization, and how MS-assisted annotation confirms UV peak identity and reveals co-eluting species. It also demonstrates how automated, traceable data processing reduces manual correction and supports more efficient development of robust QC release methods. Designed for scientists working in QC analytics and peptide mapping method development.
