Digitalization Strategies for Predicting Better Candidates - Standardization, Automation, and Generation of AI-Ready Analytical Developability Datasets
Presenter: Kaori Moriwaki, Genedata
Date: Tuesday, August 18 | 1:00 pm
Abstract: Developability describes the intrinsic properties of a therapeutic candidate that influence its suitability for successful development, manufacturing, and clinical application. Key attributes include physicochemical stability, solubility, viscosity, and safety-related characteristics, among others. Limitations in developability are a major contributor to late-stage attrition, increased development costs, and extended timelines.
Systematic integration and analysis of multi-assay datasets enable comprehensive characterization of potential liabilities and manufacturability risks at earlier stages. Centralized data harmonization, coupled with automated analytical workflows, facilitates scalable and reproducible developability assessment. Cross-assay comparisons and algorithm-driven classification approaches support more robust candidate prioritization and decision-making.
Such high-quality, structured datasets provide a foundation for downstream computational modeling, including machine learning approaches that leverage historical data to improve predictive accuracy and guide the optimization of candidate molecules.
