Deep Sequencing of Nanobody Libraries
May 17, 2022
Nanobodies are tiny, camelid heavy chain-only antibody derived proteins, that may bind to an antigen with high affinity and can be used in a wide variety of applications.
Nanobodies with desired functional properties are selected from immune or synthetic libraries via phage display biopanning. While traditional techniques to analyze such libraries may yield a limited number of potential binders, next generation sequencing (NGS) enables unparalleled library quality control and the identification of more high affinity binders within a much broader sequence space.
Genedata Selector® supports deep sequencing and enables comprehensive analysis of such libraries, which facilitates targeting of multiple different antigen epitopes, based on complementarity determining region (CDR) homology, and the generation of backup candidates.
