About the Role

Are you a Scientist who is attracted by creating the documentation for the Genedata Biologics product suite, the leading enterprise workflow system for biopharma R&D?

As Scientific Writer, you will be responsible to closely work together with developers and scientists with a focus on producing and maintaining documentation of the Genedata Biologics® software. You will also be involved in producing application notes, training materials and videos.

This full or part-time position (50-100%) is located at our headquarter office in Basel, Switzerland.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop, produce, and maintain electronic end-user documentation for enterprise software
  • Document new workflows and related software functionalities
  • Create and update software user manuals, administration, and configuration documentation
  • Write scientific and technical application notes and technical/administration documentation in close coordination with software development and scientific account management teams 
  • Review technical documentation produced by members of development team
  • Create educational and training materials and present internal seminars and webinars for customers worldwide

Skills & Experience

  • MSc or PhD degree in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, immunology or related discipline
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Good knowledge of current industry standards for scientific technical writing
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker and/or Photoshop/Illustrator a plus
