About the Role

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join our growing Selector business team supporting our innovative software product Genedata Selector®, a comprehensive enterprise software solution for NGS-based workflows from cell line development to biosafety.

We are looking for a highly motivated team player, with a strong scientific background, ideally with experience in the scientific software domain. We also would consider highly experienced marketing specialists with an interest in or motivation to learn about innovative applications of science. The successful candidate will position and promote Genedata Selector® in the biopharma industry. The individual will collaborate with different functions including product management, product development, business development, and scientific consulting to position the product in emerging market segments, support the launch of new product versions, conduct market studies, and help create effective marketing programs and material.

The role requires an entrepreneurial spirit, excellent marketing execution, and business analysis skills with strong capabilities in effectively positioning and promoting products, as well as the ability to transfer marketing know-how. Our ideal candidate will also have strong communication, project management, and coordination skills with an ability to work effectively with others to execute a wide variety of product marketing initiatives. 

This interdisciplinary, multi-faceted position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and promote a young and growing software system in a consistently evolving field of Biopharma. The position offers a high level of development, interactivity, and responsibility in a growing company, and the opportunity to work as part of a strong international team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Measuring, analyzing, and competitive positioning of our product(s)
  • Promoting product offerings, including creating messaging and developing and implementing go-to-market plans
  • Defining and implementing customer communication strategies
  • Collaborating with product management in the specification of market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research, supported by customers and prospective customer interviews, to gain knowledge about user attitudes and behavior
  • Producing product collateral such as sales, customer, and media presentations, product overviews, and datasheets, FAQs, briefs, webinars, and product videos
  • Creating press releases and related communications
  • Managing social media planning and content to improve brand and product visibility
  • Identifying conference opportunities and supporting presentation/poster preparation
  • Drive lead generation through marketing material and support the team’s lead generation activities
  • Drive internal communication of sales and marketing activities

Skills & Experience

  • Masters or Ph.D. in molecular biology, microbiology, bioinformatics, or related life science or data science degree Educational background in business or marketing will also be considered
  • Experience with scientific software/ knowledge management solutions preferred
  • Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) is big plus
  • Strong experience in a marketing, sales, account, or client management role
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and execution skills
  • Strong communication, project management, and coordination skills, with an ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment to lead and execute on a wide variety of product marketing initiatives
  • Good ability to teach other team members
  • Excellent presentation abilities
  • Interested in graphics design, video editing and presentation creation
  • Fluent in English
