About the Role

As a Mass Spectrometry Software Scientist, you will work with scientists in Biopharma R&D as a scientific expert to develop mass spectrometry data analysis solutions using Genedata Expressionist, a powerful software platform that revolutionizes new methodologies that streamline mass spectrometry-based large molecule characterization.

This full-time position is based at our office in San Francisco, CA. It requires about 20% travel within the US, and potentially across Europe.

We are offering a base salary range of between $100,000 to $140,000 for this position.

Your Responsibilities

Here are the key responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Investigate customer workflows to understand their needs and identify bottlenecks.
  • Scientific Consulting: Provide consulting services for customer projects.
  • Project Management: Manage projects to deliver customized solutions.
  • Solution Design: Design solutions using the Genedata Expressionist platform that align with customer requirements.
  • Pre-sales Support: Assist in pre-sales activities by demonstrating the capabilities of Genedata Expressionist.
  • Interface with Internal Teams: Act as an interface between our internal teams and customer cross-functional partners, including scientific, software development and marketing.
  • Presentations: Prepare and give scientific and technical presentations.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a smart and curious scientist with the following background:

  • Mass spectrometry experience required, and mass spectrometry applied to protein analysis and biotherapeutics characterization preferred
  • PhD preferred but M.S with 3+ years of relevant experience in mass spectrometry will also be considered
  • Excited to work and partner with our customers to understand and solve their Mass Spectrometry data challenges. We are happy to mentor the right candidate in this regard
  • Motivated to learn about business
  • Passionate about science
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
