About the Role
The Financial Accountant is responsible for the daily bookkeeping operations and supports the Head of Accounting for the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing procedures for Genedata AG and its subsidiaries.
Your Responsibilities
- Review and post Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable invoices as well as General Ledger entries
- Book Bank entries in the Ledger and prepare the weekly payment run
- Prepare and send to external accounting companies of the Genedata subsidiaries all relevant information necessary for the month-end close
- Prepare month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings activities in accordance with Swiss GAAP FER and US GAAP in collaboration with the Head of Accounting
- Ensure effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks
- Work on projects and support management with ad-hoc reports
Skills & Experience
- Ideally knowledge of accounting principles according to Swiss GAAP FER and US GAAP
- At least 2 years work experience in an accounting department
- Very good MS Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German a plus
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team and take initiative
