About the Role

We are looking for a talented individual to create engaging content that drives product awareness and adoption of Genedata Expressionist, our powerful enterprise software solution that streamlines and automates biopharma mass spectrometry data workflows. You will be responsible for creating and executing marketing strategies and will work closely with the product management, sales, and customer success teams to understand the market needs, customer pain points, and product value propositions. You will also collaborate with the corporate marketing team to align messaging and branding across different channels and regions.

A strong scientific background with good understanding of mass spectrometry is key, and ideally you will have previous experience in marketing software to the biopharma industry. As part of a dynamic international team, your mission will be to bridge the gap between complex technical concepts and business value to ensure an impactful message in the market. You will be at the forefront of our marketing efforts, collaborating across functions to create compelling content that resonates with our target audiences.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to promote a successful, cutting-edge software platform in a fast-growing company. This full-time position is based in our global headquarters in Basel, with the option of limited remote working.

Your Responsibilities

  • Developing engaging and high-quality content for marketing collateral (product brochures, application notes, customer presentations, etc.) and scientific communication (abstracts, posters, etc.).
  • Promoting customer success stories through the creation of case studies, webinars, posters, etc. and maintaining a network of KOLs among our user community.
  • Planning and executing thematic writing activities for various channels including webpages, social media, press releases, and newsletters.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand the value of our enterprise software solutions and translate this into marketing material highlighting business values.
  • Planning and managing marketing campaigns to generate quality leads through traditional (in-person) and digital channels (mailers, webinars, etc.).
  • Driving lead generation through marketing material and supporting the sales team’s lead nurturing activities.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree, Masters, or Ph.D. in life or data science.
  • Prior experience with mass spectrometry in biopharma and familiarity with industry processes and challenges.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a proven track record of creating high-quality marketing content for different audiences and channels.
  • Ability to collaborate, network, and influence in a cross-functional environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of initiative, dedication to quality of work, attention to detail, and a hands-on attitude.
  • Interest in scientific writing, graphic design, video editing, presentation creation, and digital marketing.
  • English to native/bilingual level (written and spoken).
