About the Role

We are looking for a Biopharma R&D Project Manager to report to the US Biologics Head of Project Management to support our products Genedata Biologics® and Genedata Bioprocess®, first-in-class workflow systems that have been designed to increase the efficiency and quality of R&D processes.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with internal partners and customers on a wide variety of projects and tasks with an emphasis on managing, planning, and coordinating scientific consulting and enterprise software deployment projects in the biopharmaceutical discovery and development industry.

This full-time position is located in our US East Coast office, outside of Boston in Lexington and requires up to 20% travel within North America and occasional travel to Europe.

Your Responsibilities

Activities include work on scientific and technical customer projects, including large enterprise system deployment projects, process analysis projects, scientific and technical requirements analysis projects, data migration projects, system integration projects and technology transfer projects, as well as user and technical trainings. Amongst other responsibilities, you will:

  • Define, plan, and track projects to achieve company goals within budget and timeline, making presentations to clients and senior management with regarding project status and financial milestones
  • Work with our internal teams and customer-facing counterparts to coordinate enterprise system implementation and deployment projects, including system integration and configuration, testing, data migration, training, and rollout support
  • Help to conduct customer requirements & gap analyses and generate technical specifications for internal project teams
  • Proactively communicate, document, and report to external and internal customers on projects and help to identify needs and requirements
  • Conceptualize, develop, implement, test, and deliver on key service projects and support the negotiation of client business agreements
  • Provide technical support for sales and business development
  • Perform monthly accounting (triage of hours and invoice generation) of consultancy efforts provided to each of our customers

Skills & Experience

  • Advanced degree in sciences (PhD preferred) relevant to Biotech & Biopharma or experience in one or more of the following areas is advantageous: biopharma R&D, antibody discovery, protein engineering, protein expression and purification, cell line development, bioprocess development, CMC, or biopharma production with bioanalytic, or lab automation
  • 2 to 3 years of professional experience in a biopharma research, discovery or development is preferred
  • Professional experiences managing large groups of people comprised of a diverse set of stakeholders (Scientific, Technical, Business, etc.)
  • Self-starter mindset with determination to address majority of tasks independently, dedication to detail and quality of work with focus on timely delivery of tasks is required
  • Practical experience with scientific software, computer fluency, and familiarity with general IT concepts is preferred
  • Must be currently located in the U.S.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
