With ToxPedia, the toxicological analysis of compounds can be orchestrated integrating corporate knowledge.
The system covers and supports the following steps of pre-clinical compound profiling:
- Study Design and collection of sample data (e.g. phenotypic anchors, omics data) and associated information, and of experimentally measured observations on samples
- Pre-processing and storage of experimental raw data in relation to corresponding experimental samples
- Data quality assessment of large amounts of molecular data from all omics technologies
- Establishment of relationships for experimental data (incl. cross-omics mappings, mappings of different platforms, mappings with legacy data)
- Comprehensive statistical analysis and determination of discriminating markers for potential toxic effects
- Interpretation and validation of markers in biological context (e.g. specific pathways)
- Classification and modeling algorithms to predict compound toxicity and compound mode of action
- Marker documentation to evaluate compounds based on their comprehensive toxicological signatures
