Expressionist standardizes and automates high-throughput microarray data analysis tasks. The platform guarantees reliable and reproducible results from gene expression data.
Expressionist supports microarray-based transcriptomics with the modules Refiner Array for objective quality assessment and process monitoring and Analyst for analysis and interpretation.
Transcriptomics process supported by Expressionist:

Measurement of experimental data incl. hybridization and scanning of microarrays generates raw data

The Refiner Array module uploads raw data and performs pre-processing and QC. The created quality-controlled processed data are stored in the database.

The Analyst module loads and analyzes the data from the database. As an initial filtering step excludes undesired values, only reliable and desired data is passed to statistical analysis.

Statistical analysis reveals lists of significantly changing probe sets. Annotation, identification, interpretation of probe sets provide lists of genes with additional biological information.

Mapping the list of putative biomarkers to pathways can give hints to affected biological systems, for further investigation. Additional experimental data can be integrated for more biological insight.
