Genedata today announced the extension of their collaboration with Bayer CropScience in agrochemical research. The 3-year agreement includes licenses for the new AgroLead edition of Genedata Phylosopher® as well as for Genedata Expressionist®, with a focus on supporting the research and development process of Bayer CropScience worldwide.

Genedata Phylosopher® provides a state-of-the-art computational infrastructure, which facilitates the integration and sharing of public and proprietary experimental data including sequence and expression data across different research workflows. It supplies a powerful, scalable database and integrates a large variety of computational tools for statistical and biological data interpretation.

With the inclusion of existing biological knowledge such as metabolic, regulatory and signaling pathways Genedata Phylosopher® in combination with Genedata Expressionist® supports the characterization of the mechanism-of-action for bioactive substances and helps to prioritize the most promising compounds for novel fungicides, herbicides and insecticides.
