Genedata, a global leader in developing computational solutions for the high-throughput drug discovery process, today announced the release of version 2.0 of Genedata Impressionist, its software solution for enterprise-wide proteomics research.
Genedata Impressionist has been developed in close collaboration with several leading pharmaceutical companies, including Novartis Pharma AG, Basel. The Head of Proteomics Research at Novartis, Dr. Jan van Oostrum states: "We have been using Genedata Impressionist for several years now. Through our collaboration with Genedata we have been able to analyze large amounts of complex proteomics data with a focus on understanding the molecular causes of disease."
Genedata's CEO, Dr. Othmar Pfannes adds: "We are delighted to collaborate with Novartis and support their proteomics efforts. This collaboration is a part of Genedata's strategy to become a leader in computational solutions for target identification and validation, chemical genomics, toxicogenomics, pharmacogenomics and diagnostics applications."
Version 2.0 of Genedata Impressionist meets all requirements for large-scale proteomics data analysis. Besides providing novel methods for the quality assessment of 2-D gel and mass spectrometry-derived experimental data, the new version features sophisticated data analysis techniques as well as state-of-the-art scripting capabilities for automated analysis. In particular, the proprietary classification algorithms implemented in Genedata Impressionist make it ideal for mode-of-action studies and toxicoproteomics applications.
