Genedata AG, a privately-held Swiss bioinformatics company, today announced its move into the Japanese life science market. The company has assigned Teijin Systems Technology Ltd. (TST), one of Japan's leading distributors in the field of scientific software, to be its representative for the Japanese life science market.
Genedata's CEO, Othmar Pfannes, Ph.D., states: "We are happy to announce this partnership with TST and strongly believe that we have identified a competent and experienced partner for our entry into the growing Japanese genomics market. To tackle the high data complexity in functional genomics Genedata provides state-of the-art software along with services for data analysis consulting as well as software and database customization.

TST will be responsible for the promotion in Japan of Genedata's software systems in the areas of genome analysis and genome data management (Phylosopher), sequence analysis (WorkBench), gene expression data analysis (Expressionist), and proteomics data analysis (Impressionist).
