Pathway Modeling

Genedata is a member of  several systems biology consortia which address the specific needs in the emerging field of Systems Biology. 

As part of these collaborations Genedata has developed a 'ModelBlock' module which is based on the Phylosopher system. This ModelBlock offers a central access point for mathematical models as they are currently continuously developed and enhanced in systems biology research. Models can be accessed through a rich search interface or by web services for subsequent manipulation. This facilitates modeling of cellular, organ and systemic processes, with applications in complex diseases where experimental methods alone are insufficient. Tight integration links models to the Phylosopher system, which contains both experimental and computed data on metabolic pathways, transcriptional regulatory networks, signaling cascades and expression levels.
