Biologics Lead Discovery & Development

Genedata’s Integrated Biologics Platform (IBP) is a comprehensive data management and analysis system that supports biologics screening operations to downstream protein production activities. It is a modular platform that allows the provision of focused solutions for specific parts of biologics R&D, such as antibody/protein screening, engineering, expression, purification and characterization.  Modules provide sequence management, assay and analytics data management, and biomaterial registration in the form of an Oracle database and integrated analysis and visualization tools.

The Genedata IBP solution incorporates extensive domain knowledge to enhance the biologics R&D process. The central database enables consistent storage and referencing of all relevant biomaterials including antibody clones, vectors, expression constructs, cell lines, and expression batches and is structured following the intrinsic biologics R&D process. The database incorporates the various protein and nucleotide sequence information, assay readouts (e.g. Biacore, FACS, ELISA) and protein titers generated along the process. All relevant information is instantly available to every participant in the R&D process.

Focused IBP modular solutions include an antibody sequence analysis and annotation pipeline which employs business rules tailored to address specific phage-display, SLAM, or hybridoma data company requirements, while other modules focus on automated construct and plasmid design software to support antibody reformatting and protein engineering to meet subsequent DNA synthesis and protein expression requirements.

The main value of the Integrated Biologics Platform lies in automation, standardization and integration. All relevant experimental data can be collected in the IBP and made available to all laboratories working along the R&D process. This greatly facilitates material and data handovers from lab to lab, and puts decision making onto a solid data basis. As such, the platform helps make the overall discovery and development processes more efficient and ensures a consistently high quality standard across different laboratories.

The typical target users of the Genedata IBP are scientists and technical personnel involved in screening and molecular biology laboratories and downstream expression, production and purification departments.
